Ten Ways My Community Benefited From NeighborHuddle
As a resident and President of a NeighborHuddle community, I use the website on a regular basis. Here is a list of ten ways NeighborHuddle has recently helped our community.
- In order to leverage our size and save money, the community used the NeighborHuddle Forum to identify and coordinate residents who were interested in having their chimney swept and furnace cleaned.
- When our building’s window washing was delayed due to bad weather, I used the NeighborHuddle Quick Contact to instantly notify all our residents while sitting poolside in Greece!
- I noticed our front gate was broken and used NeighborHuddle to create a Service Request to the property manager. I received a copy of the request in my email and the gate was fixed the next day.
- During the search for a reliable contractor, residents routinely ask for referals from their neighbors and residents in other NeighborHuddle communities via the NeighborHuddle Forums.
- Our community’s documentation is kept up to date and stored electronically on NeighborHuddle. Since we started doing this, the number of requests I get for meeting minutes and other documents has been virtually eliminated.
- When a resident came home late in the evening and found someone else’s car in his parking space, he sent an electronic notification via the NeighborHuddle Quick Contact. Immediately, the owner of the illegally parked car was notified and ten minutes later, the car was moved.
- This year, the state of Illinois implemented a law regarding carbon monoxide detectors near sleeping quarters. We added this information to the community notes on our NeighborHuddle homepage to notify residents.
- After getting burned out on the same old local restaurants, some residents used the NeighborHuddle Forum to solicit their neighbors for their favorite local places to grab a bite to eat.
- While selling my car, I placed an ad on the NeighborHuddle Classifieds page to spread the word throughout all the NeighborHuddle communities in the area.
- A resident’s spare tire was stolen off her SUV while in the community parking lot. She used the NeighborHuddle Forum to notify and warn the rest of the association.
